I can't believe I said that tonight. I don't believe for a second that I'm just a mom. But I said it. To a group of women. At my first ever PTG meeting.
I guess I felt... small... and somewhat uncomfortable. It was a small group. Less than 10. Not what I expected. And as they went around and did introductions, they all seemed to have titles... "President of the PTG"... "Treasurer"... "3rd Grade Teacher"... "Elementary School Principal". And when it was my turn I heard the words "I'm just a mom" come out of my mouth.
At least they all (quickly) corrected me... "You're NOT just a mom!!"
Still... kinda weirded me out... hearing myself say that...
