What I did on my summer vacation

We used to make a list of things to do over the summer when the PS would come out to visit us in California. It was always fun to see what he would come up with, especially when he was younger. And it was something to look forward to and neat to check it off the list when we actually did it. I think the coolest part was just to see how simple things can make a kid so happy. Of course, they'll come up with some big ticket things to do, but mostly it's the simple stuff. Here's the list my boys came up with...

B's Summer List
  • Go to the beach
  • Play at the park
  • Play in the sprinkler
  • Take a walk
  • Go to the train museum
  • Go to the cemetery and read the stones (yes, he seriously said that!)

J's Summer List

  • Take a bike ride
  • Go to Bay Beach
  • Go swimming
  • Build a sand castle
  • Go to Wisconsin Dells
  • Have a picnic
  • Go camping
  • Eat at Applebees (weirdo... don't we eat there enough through the rest of the year?)

For the record, we've done several of these already. In fact, we just went to the beach yesterday and I WILL post pics before I leave on Sunday for my trip to Hawaii.
